Nice Shot! Court Kills NYC Gun Law

The media have been telling us to watch the gun-control case now before the U.S. Supreme Court, where we await a decision about Americans' Second Amendment rights. But the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just handed down an equally important gun decision that has additional implications against judicial supremacy.

The court, which convenes in New York City, shot down the longtime liberal dream of achieving gun control by suing gun manufacturers for crimes committed by firearms. In a remarkable decision, this federal appellate court dismissed City of New York v. Beretta U.S.A. Corp. and protected gun corporations against frivolous lawsuits in state and federal courts.
*Our side is still achieving important victories despite all the idiocy going on in this country. I'm glad to see there are still some smart judges out there.

I don't really think this is the solution towards achieving a more secured America.

The gun corps. should be put on check and that will contain a lot of the crime and corruption we are facing in our society.

Yes, much like crime, murders in particular, and corruption have been contained in places like DC, Chicago, and Detroit where guns are outlawed and no one is allowed to have them yet gun crimes and murders are through the roof.

Why? Because criminals aren't worried about obeying laws, gun laws or any other.

I say street gangs and drug dealers should be put in check and that will contain a ton of gun crime, alot more than 'checking' gun corps. ever will.

Lawsuits against 'Big Tobacco' corps. haven't stopped people from smoking cigarettes one single bit, cigarettes are as popular as ever.

So how would suing gun companies make a difference?
