The most up-to-date intelligence predictions of US nuclear experts is that by the end of 2009, Iran will have stocked enough weapons-grade fuel to build three nuclear bombs. (SEE NASIC REPORT BELOW)

The first will be ready for assembly by the time Barack Obama is sworn in as US president on January 20, 2009; the second shortly after Israel’s February 10, 2009 general election produces a new prime minister, and the third by the end of the year.

Iran may deny the latest IAEA conclusion that it has stockpiled 630 kg of low-enriched uranium, enough to upgrade a nuclear weapon. But Tehran’s limited on-and-off cooperation with the nuclear watchdog leaves it wide open to the suspicion of a secret location churning out enriched uranium far from the declared Natanz facility. (AND THEY STILL DENY THAT THEY HAVEN'T VIOLATED THE NPT TREATY WHEN THEY CLEARLY DID ALONG WITH THE NORTH KOREANS LAST YEAR IN SYRIA)

So what happened to the pledges made by the world powers over the years to keep nuclear weapons out of the Islamic Republic’s hands, including declarations by US and Israeli leaders that their military options remained “on the table?” Those pledges came from Israeli leaders on both sides of the aisle – prime minister Ehud Olmert, foreign minister Tzipi Livni (who has replaced him as Kadima chairman), defense minister Ehud Barak and opposition Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu.

DEBKAfile’s political analysts comment: Their pledges have turned out to be as credible as the subsequence assurances of Olmert and his finance minister Ronnie Bar-On that the global economic crisis had skipped Israel and the public’s savings and investments were safe.

This week, Israelis woke up to find one-third of their pension funds wiped out - and a nuclear-armed Iran on their horizon.

Next year, Tehran may stage an underground atomic test to show Muslims everywhere what the Shiites can do and confront the new US and Israeli governments with its unstoppable nuclear capability. That is unless Olmert, Livni, and Barak are moved to fight the strong trend toward a Likud election victory by going belatedly after Iran’s nuclear facilities in the short weeks remaining for the ballot.

However, although the Olmert government had the Syrian reactor bombed in September 2007 while it was still under construction, DEBKAfile’s political sources doubt whether they are politically and personally capable today of repeating that success against Iran.

Barak is consistent in ducking military action: He lost power in 2000 after refusing to pre-empt Yasser Arafat’s planned Palestinian terror war against Israel. As defense minister, he has declined to halt Hizballah’s rocket build-up in Lebanon or put the lid on the Palestinian missile offensive from Gaza. He preferred a shaky truce, which left Hamas and fellow-fundamentalist Palestinian terrorists backed by Iran and Syria to violate at will. This policy is backed by Olmert and Livni.

Saturday, Nov. 22, Hizballah launched a large-scale military exercise in South Lebanon, including in areas policed by UN peacemakers which are barred to Hizballah militiamen under UN Security Council Resolution 1701 which Livni helped draft in 2006.

As you all know, the Los Angeles Times is holding hostage a tape of Barack Obama at a 2003 Arab American Action Network (AAAN) dinner at which his friends, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, and Bernadine Dohrn were in attendance.

It's the story I started when Los Angeles Times plagiarist/"reporter" Peter Wallsten ripped off my January column on Barack Obama's Nation of Islam staffers and friendship with AAAN founder Ali Abunimah

But here's what you haven't yet heard: that a kids' dance troupe that appeared at the event has a history of simulating beheadings and stomping on American, Israeli, and British flags

Reports of the partial guest list at the 2003 dinner include "the Sanabel Debka troupe", but the group's name is really "Sanabel AlQuds Dabka troupe." Sanabel means "grains" or "kernels" (of wheat or barley) in Arabic.
AlQuds, or "The Holy", is the Muslim name for Jerusalem, which is ripped-off from the eternal Hebrew name for Jerusalem, "Ir Kadosh", or Holy City

The Milwaukee-based Muslim kids dancing troupe purports to perform the debka, a Middle-Eastern step-dance. But this group, made up of mostly Palestinian Muslims and under the auspices of the Milwaukee Muslim American Society does far more in its "performance. " And it's frightening to say the least

In June 2004, I went undercover and attended a Dearborn fundraising dinner for Islamic Relief, the Muslim Brotherhood charity that is a front for HAMAS and Al-Qaeda.

The event was MC'ed by Rayed Tayeh, who orchestrated the Starbucks Coffee boycott and who is believed to be a HAMAS operative

Sanabel AlQuds performed to songs calling for martyrdom to "get back Palestine." The kids were young boys, some of them appearing to be no older than seven years old

But they didn't just dance the debkah

Suddenly the Sanabel AlQuds dancers pulled out fake swords and rifles and adorned three of their troupe respectively with an American, Isreaeli, and British flag. The others pretended to behead and/or shoot the boys wearing the flags. Then they put red scarves over the three boys heads, signifying blood and no head.
Then, the flags were taken off, thrown to the ground, and trampled on by this young group of Milwaukee dancers

This was on the Sunday that U.S. contractor Paul Johnson was found beheaded in Saudi Arabia and not long after Nicholas Berg and several other westerners were found beheaded in Iraq

Once I saw this "performance" I realized why there were signs all over saying, "No video equipment or cameras allowed. "

I wrote about this in 2004 in my review of "Fahrenheit 9/11", because it featured Obama surrogate John Conyers who was at the Sanabel AlQuds performance and just loved it

Take the June 13 Muslim American Society fundraising dinner for Islamic Relief, a charity with links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Conyers and his wife were the guests of honor. They watched and clapped as the Sanabel AlQuds "dancing" troop from Milwaukee--featuring boys as young as seven--sang in Arabic of martyrdom and jihad for Allah and Palestine.

They didn't need to understand Arabic, as the young boys used a rifle to simulate killing and pistol-whipping, simulated throat-slittings and beheadings, and dishonored the American flag

I also wrote about it in August 2006, because I'm sick and tired of the tens of millions the Mormon Church, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, has been giving this group, Islamic Relief:

It may be that this same "act" was performed for the Obamas, but that it was not part of the tape, which would be why L.A. Times plagiarist/"reporter" Peter Wallsten did not write about it

Still, why is Barack Obama hanging out with young kids who simulate beheadings of Americans and Jews on a regular basis?

Maybe they can perform their unique, halal version of the debka at an Inaugural Ball. I'm sure the Secret Service would make an allowance for the swords . . .

Here is clip of what they were probably showing.... I'm only speculating, but this clip is very light and it really doesn't show beheadings, but it shows some people before getting decapitated by islam's knife. A simulation of beheading dancers??? What's next? I believe it. Most muslim feed on those images. For them it's all about killing and more killing and then they show their killings, especially beheadings in all of their sites and all of their training camps/mosques.

And if you think about it, Odinga, Obama's cousin, had no problem killing hundred's of people in Kenya, (including burning churches).

Oh and Obama did help his cousin Odinga financially, as well as in the campaign trail for when Odinga ran as an islamic militant in Kenya. This went on until last year 2007. And people don't know this, of course. Put in youtube's search box "Obama and Odinga" and you'll be able to see some pieces of the puzzle. The media is simply our enemy. To tell the truth is almost a crime. We need to rely on any other source than the media/printed press. Someone like Obama should never run for president, but should run from authorities for all the corruption he has committed. End of story.

Help Obama's Half-Brother Move Out of His Hut

The biggest scandal of the election campaign is going unreported, for the most part, by the mainstream newspapers and TV shows. Imagine if John McCain or Sarah Palin had a half-brother who was living in a hut. Imagine if McCain, a multimillionaire, did nothing to help the guy. Imagine if McCain came to the convention and spoke incessantly about compassion and how he was inspired by the biblical mandate: we are our brothers' keepers! This would be the lead story on the evening news.

So why aren't the networks covering the fact that Barack Obama's half-brother George lives in a 6 by 10 foot hut in the slums of Kenya? It took a reporter for the Italian edition of Vanity Fair to locate George Obama.
Obama noted that when he met his famous half-brother in 2006 “we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger.”

George Obama also told the magazine that “I live here on less than a dollar month,” and “if anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed.”

Obama has done absolutely nothing to help his unfortunate half-brother.

Apparently alarmed that this report could hurt Obama, CNN dispatched one of its reporters to do cover-up work for the Obama campaign. This is a hopeless enterprise; anyone who sees pictures of George Obama's dwelling place on the web knows that they reveal the worst images of African poverty. Moreover, for all its propagandistic intent, the CNN report is unintentionally damaging to Obama. The reporter cannot hide the fact that George Obama comes from a "ramshackled slum." A neighbor tells CNN that Barack Obama really should connect with his half-brother and "see how he's living" and do what he can to "improve our way of life."

CNN attempts to portray George Obama as a self-reliant fellow who doesn't want any help. The network quotes him saying, "I was brought up well. I live well even now." George, however, speaks in a halting voice; he is trying to maintain his self-image. George also says, "I'm Kenyan...I would love to live in Kenya." Presumably George gave this answer to a question asking whether he'd like to move to the United States with Barack Obama's help. These answers, however, in no way suggest that George doesn't want Barack Obama's intervention to relieve his grinding poverty. A man's effort to maintain his dignity should not be exploited to pretend that he doesn't want a helping hand.

When I posted on my AOL blog about George Obama last week, the Obama apologists could do no better than to say that Barack Obama doesn't owe his half-brother anything. But sibling assistance is not a matter of debt. Rather, it is a matter of family values and compassion. Obama has cited as his favorite Bible verse Jesus's statement: whatever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. It seems that the Republican allegation that this man is full of pretense and empty words--in other words, a modern-day Pharisee--is more than justified.

Obama may not want to help his 26 year old half-brother, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't.

I'm starting the George Obama Compassion Fund which has the goal of raising some money to help George Obama move out of his one-room hut. George also wants to become a mechanic and surely he could use some funds to get the training he needs to fulfill his humble aspirations. Currently George lives on a few dollars a month. Even a few thousand dollars would completely transform this man's life.

I'm putting up $1000 to get this fund started. I invite people to send me small contributions--$5, $10, $25, whatever you can spare. Send them to P.O. Box 3384, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. Nothing in this world happens in a vacuum. When we discuss the momentous events unfolding in Georgia and the implications in geopolitics, we are only scratching the surface behind the “why.” Why did Georgia feel it necessary to challenge a great power and try to wrestle South Ossetia back into their control? Why is Russia so keen to interfere? Before we can fully understand the actions of individuals or of nations, we first have to understand who they are. I firmly believe that you are where you come from. So ... where does Georgia come from?

What most people don’t realize is that Georgia is an ancient civilization that rivals that of Mesopotamia or China. Their civilization began millenniums ago. If there were a people set on conquest in the old world, you can bet that Georgia’s ancestors met them on a field of battle. The success or failure of a battle meant the difference between your sovereignty, or your servitude to a conquering and often cruel principality.

The Georgians knew the ancient Greeks and the Hittites; the Medes and the Persians; the Celts also called the Phryglans and/or Mushki; the ancient Cimmerians and the Assyrians. The fought Alexander the Great and Caesar’s Roman Empire. Later by default, they were part of the Byzantine Empire. They were defeated by the Mongols and fought holy wars. With Georgia uniquely situated south of the Caucasus Mountains along the Silk Road and between the Black and Caspian Seas, if there were an ancient conquering race you can safely bet that they at one time or other met them on a battlefield. Their geographic location acts as a funnel, forcing migrating people through their land.

The two main tribes and later Kingdoms that would form into modern Georgia are Colchis and Iberia. Even with multiple invasions, the two main legs of Georgia would somehow manage to retain their culture.

The Hittites, the Medes and Persians, the Cimmerians, the Babylonians, the Assyrians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Mongols, they knew them all.

117AD

Whether the empire began in the South with the Parthians, the West with the Macedonians, the East with the Mongols, or the North with the Russians; Georgia has always managed to find itself either near, inside, or partially inside their borders.

Through many conflicts, Islam had begun to displace the Christian Kingdoms which had converted in 327.

1001-1010 Georgia is consolidated under one throne for the first time.

The first united Georgian monarchy was formed at the end of the 10th century when Curopalate David invaded the Earldom of Kartli-Iberia. Three years later, after the death of his uncle Theodosius the Blind, King of Egrisi-Abkhazia, Bagrat III inherited the Abkhazian throne from his mother. In 1001 Bagrat inherited Tao-Klarjeti (Curopalatinate of Iberia), adding it to his domain as a result of his father David’s (there's a lot of Davids in this history) death. In 1008-1010, Bagrat annexed Kakheti and Ereti, thus becoming the first king of a united Georgia in both the east and west.

1118-1119 The Reconquista of Georgia under King David, "The Builder"

1089-1125 King David the Builder

King David takes the throne at 16 years of age and reorganizes the Army. He launches a campaign to retake Georgia from the Suljuk Turks, at one point being aided indirectly by the first Crusade. When pushing out the Turks, there was a vacuum left. He invited 40000 Kipchak warriors from Alania to move with their families to Georgia. The ruler of Alania recognized himself as King David's vassal. Eventually this land would become South Ossetia.

In 1121, the Seljuk Sultan Mahmud declared Jihad on Georgia and sent a strong army under one of his famous generals Ilghazi to fight the Georgians. Although significantly outnumbered by the Turks, the Georgians managed to defeat the invaders at the Battle of Didgori, and in 1122 they took over Tbilisi, making it Georgia’s capital.

1184-1213 Georgia's Golden Age under Queen Tamar's rule

With the temporary fall of the Byzantine Empire due to the Fourth Crusade sacking Constantinople, Georgia becomes the pre-eminent power in the region. Queen Tamar takes advantage of this and adds more territory that had been under the control of the Byzantine Empire. Oddly enough, at the same time they remain relatively cordial as they shared many of the same enemies.

According to the Georgian chronicles, Queen Tamar granted the lordship over part of Abkhazia to the Georgian princely family of Shervashidze. According to traditional accounts, they were an offshoot of the Shirvanshahs (hence allegedly comes their dynastic name meaning "sons of Shirvanese" in Georgian). The ascendancy of this dynasty (later known also as Chachba by the Abkhaz form of their surname) in Abkhazia would last until the Russian annexation in the 1860s.

Byzantine Empire still receding

While I could not find an exact date for this map, it falls into this general time frame. I included this map only to demonstrate the relative weakness of a once great empire. The incessant Islamic crusades were taking their toll.

1206-1294 Mongol Hoard

Abkhazia was relatively spared from the Mongol and Timur's invasions, which terminated Georgia's "golden age". As a result, the kingdom of Georgia fragmentize into several independent or semi-independent entities by the late 15th century. The Principality of Abkhazia was one of them. They remained Georgian in culture but would begin to change when they later came under Ottoman Influences.

Under similar circumstances, the East Slavic tribes that were Imperial Russia's roots also fell under the same Mongol Hoard. When they were conquered, the cultural center was around Kievan Rus'(major cities were Smolensk and Kiev) in modern day Ukraine; when they would reemerge, the cultural center would shift to the principality of Moscow, where the Russian empire was born. At an epic pace, Russia would extend their lands to the Pacific and wrest land away in the Northern Wars to establish ST Petersburg. Then south the the Caucasus looking for a warm water port. They were delighted to find Georgia. This was the beginning of their Black Sea fleet which would be a source of national pride for centuries.

1220-45 Georgia is decimated by the Mongol hoard

The period between 1259 and 1330 was marked by the struggle of the Georgians against the Mongol Ilkhanate for full independence. The first anti-Mongol uprising started in 1259 under the leadership of King David Narin who in fact waged his war for almost thirty years. The Anti-Mongol strife went on under the Kings Demeter II (1270 - 1289) and David VIII (1293 - 1311). Finally, it was King George the Brilliant (1314 - 1346) who managed to play on the decline of the Ilkhanate, stopped paying tribute to the Mongols, restored the pre-1220 state borders of Georgia, and returned the Empire of Trebizond into Georgia’s sphere of influence.

After the Mongolian wars, Georgia never fully recovered. Even though they had beaten back the Mongols, their old enemies to the south lay in wait. The onslaught would be brutal under the banner of Islam.

In 1386-1403 the Kingdom of Georgia faced eight Turco-Mongolic invasions under the leadership of Tamerlane. Except in Abkhazia and Svanetia, the invasions devastated Georgia's economy, population, and urban centers.

Constantinople had finally fallen to the Islamic Ottoman Turks in 1453, completely sealing off Georgia from the rest of Christendom. In 1501 a new Muslim power, Safavid Persia arose to the southeast. Georgia faced not one empire in it’s weakened state, but two. In 1555 the Ottomans and the Safavid’s divided up Georgia into spheres of influence between them under the “Peace of Amasa” pact. Between the slaughter from the Persians and the excessive jiza tax, Georgia found themselves impoverished and ragged. With several millennia of culture behind them, it is doubtful Georgia could have survived without outside help.

Imperial Russia, a new Christian power, was emerging to the north. with the neighbors Georgia had known for a millennia vanished from the map, with their own population in sever decline; they would eventually turn to the Russians for help. They would soon discover that the trade for their survival demanded a heavy toll -bondage.

1415-1550

Under Ottoman Rule, Abkhazia, called Imereti in this map, became the center of piracy and the slave trade. The Ottoman navy occupied the fort city of Tskhumi, renaming it Sukhumi. Under this Muslim influence, Abkhazia culturally began to grow apart from the rest of Georgia.

1502-1590

1762-1798 King Erekle II ofKartli and Kakheti

Finally, King Erekle II of Kartli and Kakheti turned to Russia for help. The Russian empress Catherine the Great was keen to have a new ally against the Turks who she was currently at odds with. After signing the Treaty of Georgievsk in 1783, she sent a token army to assist. At one point, during the Russo-Turkish War in 1787, Russia pulled it’s army out of Georgia to fight elsewhere against the Turks. With the Russian troops gone, the Persian shah Agha Mohammed Khan invaded Georgia in 1795 and burnt Tablisi to the ground. Despite this, the Georgians continued to depend on Russia.

With the death of King Erkle II, there was a dispute over who should inherit the throne and one of the contestants requested assistance from Russia. The Russians under Tsar Paul I, responded by annexing Georgia on Jan 8, 1801. Later that year, the annexation was confirmed by Tsar Alexander I on September 12, 1801. Georgian envoy, Garsevan Chavchavadze lodged a protest in Saint Petersburg (Russian Capital at the time). The Russians responded by dethroning the Georgian heir to the throne, David Batonishvili and deploying General Ivan Petrovich Lasarev to act as the governor.

Russia fought against the Turks and the Persians eventually wresting all of Georgia back from them. In 1864 the Russian dominance over Abkhazia was fully established when they exiled the pro-Turkish prince of Abkhazia, the house established by Queen Tamar, Michael Sherashidze (Chachba), to Russia where he soon died.

Despite the fact Georgia had lost it’s independence, Russia did much to help Georgia by pushing the Muslims back out. When the Turkish navy landed in 1877, it instigated the second Abkhaz revolt. As a result, the Russians responded harshly. Fully 60% of the Muslim Abkhaz population became Muhajirs and fled to Ottoman possessions. The few that remained were declared a refugee population. Even with the Ottoman influence and before the Russian crackdown following the revolt, 2/3 of the people in Abkhazia were still ethnic Mingrelian Georgians.

It wasn’t until the Communists took over that this Georgian majority would be threatened under Stalin’s (a Georgian) forced 5 year resettlement plan (diversification). This resulted in the resettlement of Russians, Armenians and even Georgians into the existing Abkhaz. The 2700 year old Greek population from before Alexander the Great was completely deported in a single night.

Georgian Prince Iakob Chavchavadze and Prince Bagrationi-Mukhraneli

Georgia, while still under the last of the Tsars, would experience a reawakening of their nationalism. This happened under the leadership of Prince Llia Chavchavadze, world renowned poet, novelist and orator. His struggle for a national awakening was welcomed by the leading Georgian intellectuals of that time such as Giorgi Tsereteli, Ivane Machabeli, Akaki Tsereteli, Niko Nikoladze, Alexander Kazbegi and Iakob Gogebashvili. The Georgian inteligencia's support for Prince Chavchavadze and Georgian independence is based in the millenniums old connection between the land and it’s people, shown in this declaration:

"Our patriotism is of course of an entire different kind: it consists solely in a sacred feeling towards our mother land: ... in it there is no hate for other nations, no desire to enslave anybody, no urge to impoverish anybody. Out patriots desire to restore Georgia's right to self-government and their own civic rights, to preserve their national characteristics and culture, without which no people can exist as a society of human beings."

It is this passion that the Soviets had to respect. Under the Soviet Empire, Georgia was granted semi-autonomy. Georgia became the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR). South Ossetia and Abkhazia were granted semi-autonomy from Georgia, while still under the Georgian administration. It would remain this way until the collapse of the Soviet Union.

The collapse of the Soviet Union was not because the Soviet Union could no longer suppress it’s people. It collapsed because it could no longer compete with the Capitalist Nations of the West, primarily the United States. This, despite the fact the Russians had spies collecting data from every corner of our nation, from the technology sectors, to the military, to the government. In exasperation, Michael Gorbachev let the worms out of the can and no one could put them back in. Perestroika (restructuring) and Glasnost (openness) resulted in the revolts of all the satellite Soviet nations beginning with Poland. Within months, the Soviet Empire would dissolve.

Rose Revolution

Georgia’s long awaited dream finally came true. Georgia declared it’s independence on April 9, 1991, and with the Rose Revolution, Georgia ushered in a new era of Democracy.

The Russian history of over 600 years had seen nothing but expansion. No land was ever lost despite taking it on the chin in some of their wars. When the Communists came to power, it was in many ways, a revolution inside of a revolution. The original plan under Lenin was never what it turned out to be under Stalin. But the Socialist policies turned out to be a complete failure, so Stalin took it even further to the Left when the Communists came to power. The extreme central planning and forced communal government owned housing, and all areas of the economy under strict centralized control was no match for the freewheeling Western capitalist system. The very same “evil” system that evolved from the Monarchs, capitalism. Even with limited success with extending dominance over East Europe, the Soviet communist system itself was rotten at the core. For the first time ever, Russia (USSR) lost land.

The humiliation is something a Westerner can only imagine. All the territory gained by the very system of government they so deeply despised, was lost by the Bolsheviks! Adding to this humiliation is the fact that many of the breakaway Republics refused to join the newly created Commonwealth of Independent States. (CIS) Adding to this the fact that one “Superpower,” that held deep respect with the world was suddenly revealed to be completely impoverished. They couldn’t even afford to pay their own troops resulting in a massive sell-off of stolen soviet military equipment. How low can a superpower fall?

But for Georgia, peace would not prevail. Minority areas of South Ossetia and Abkhazia flared up into their own separatist violence, supported by the Russians from the beginning for Georgia’s audacity to secede, despite Russia’s earlier help under Catherine the Great (Catherine II). While the violence in South Ossetia was originally quelled with 100,000 refugees fleeing into North Ossetia (Alania). The official disposition of this conflict was that it ended in a draw as only a cease fire was declared, with both sides having to appear at the Russian peace conference. But in a real sense, South Ossetia had won as they now had a defacto independent country. Abkhazia turned out even worse.

The Georgian government forces ran into paramilitaries from the North Caucasus and (allegedly) from Russian forces from a base in Gudauta. The Georgian government forces were soundly defeated. This catastrophic defeat lead to the entire Georgian population of 300,000 being forced to flee in the wake of the massacre of 14,000 Georgians. With the separatists success in Abkhazia, the insurgent Zviad Gamsakhurdia returned from exile and capitalized on the governments disarrayed forces. He overran western Georgia before the Russians openly intervened. For payment of Russian support, Georgia was obligated to join the CIS.

Adding to the problems in Georgia, the Russian war with their neighbor Chechnya, another break-away Republic, caused considerable friction between Russia and Georgia. Russia accused Georgia of harboring Chechen guerrillas. Further friction was caused by Shevardnadze's close relationship with the United States, which saw him as a counterbalance to Russian influence in the strategic Transcaucasus region.

Adding to Moscow’s chagrin was Washington’s high-profile visit to Georgia. On 9-10 May 2005 Georgia was visited by the US President George W. Bush, who met Mikheil Saakashvili and a group of Georgian parliamentarians, and addressed tens of thousands of the Georgian people at Tbilisi Freedom Square.

Georgia became a major recipient of U.S. foreign and military aid, signed a strategic partnership with NATO and declared an ambition to join both NATO and the EU. In 2002, the United States sent hundreds of Special Operations Forces to train the Military of Georgia - a program known as the Georgia Train and Equip Program. Perhaps most significantly, the country secured a $3 billion project to build a pipeline carrying oil from Azerbaijan to Turkey via Georgia (the so-called "Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan" or BTC pipeline). In addition Georgia sent 2000 troops to Iraq to assist with the coalition military operations of those Georgia was trying to align and integrate with.

So now you have the big blow-up. So what really happened? This is what I believe.

Conditions:

1. Russia is still reeling over losing all their possessions with the collapse of the Soviet Union.

2. Russia’s two hundred year old relationship with Georgia makes them resent the fact that Georgia is pulling away from them and towards their old Cold War adversary.

3. Russia’s economy is stronger with the seizure of the Yukon Oil Company.

4. Europe receives 1/3 of their oil from Russia.

5. Russia accuses Georgia of supporting the separatives in Chechnya.

6. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili ran for office on the pledge of restoring the break-away territories that had been Georgian for 5 millennia.

7. Russia was waiting with a pre-positioned force that would land from the Black Sea, opening up a second front from a different direction from where all Georgia's troops were. The logistics for this sort of landing is extensive. There is NO way the Russians could have pulled this mission together in a few days unless they had prepared for it in advance. That's not a guess, that's a physical fact. Consider that it's not just thousands of soldiers jumping on a boat. What about all the food to feed them? What about the water? What about the communications gear that needs to be set up in base stations? What about the re-supply of ammo that will be quickly used up? What about their personal gear? What about their vehicles? What about the fuel for those vehicles? Repair parts? See, it's the logistics that slow down a good tactical plan! It takes the US that long to do it with highly trained "Ready Reaction" airborne forces that can deploy anywhere in the world on short notice.

8. Russia had “peacekeepers” in South Ossetia that had sided with the separatives.

9. Russia had the rail connections necessary to reinforce the “peacekeepers” almost instantly. Most likely, those forces were also pre-positioned.

10. Russia was granting passports (not visas) and Russian citizenship to anyone in South Ossetia who wanted it.

11. Georgia has the most solid claim to South Ossetia than to Abkhazia. This would only intensify Georgia’s will to act.

12. Georgia had signed letters of intent and cooperation with Western powers that Georgia hoped would protect them.

13. Russia knows the US is tied up in Iraq and needs Russia for the issue with Iran.

14. Russia knows that Europe is dependent on them for oil. Does anyone remember Ronald Reagan’s disapproval of the first pipeline that was connected between Russia and Western Europe?

Considering these conditions I believe the actions of Georgia were provoked. The Russians did a calculated action to reestablish hegemony over their former satellite States. They knew that despite Georgia’s close alliance with the US and the West, we would be loath to take physical action. This lack of action would put serious doubts into the rest of the breakaway Republics. Exactly how much may they really be able to depend on our commitments of security to them?

With all the pieces in play, all Russia had to do was to have the South Ossetians start sniping at the Georgians in force. In order to prepare the world for decisive Russian action, they ran huge pieces in their own newspapers that charged Georgia with genocide. A claim that could not be backed up by independent sources. No one EVER accused the Russians of being poor Chess Players. I have every reason to believe that Russia had planned to go all the way to Tiblisi. I believe it was the threat of a new Cold War that made them blink. Now, instead of getting all of Georgia, they are going to settle for acknowledging the break-away territories, mostly in response to our recognition of Kosovo (which I believe was a colossal mistake.) What they were after they still may achieve with our relative inaction, hegemony over their old “stomping grounds,” and some semblance of respect.

We’re probably past the point where anything can prevent Barack Hussein Obama from being elected President of the United States. The media have anointed him, and the MSM will resolutely refuse to cover anything that might reflect badly on the Chosen One. The Republicans are ferociously incompetent, and show no willingness to grapple with the O-Man at the points where he is vulnerable.

And let’s face it: if B. Hussein were white (or a Republican), he could never get away with a tenth of the things he does. The changed stories, the outright lies, blatantly corrupt associates, a hilarious case of fumblemouth, his non-existent achievements in public service, the Communist Party affiliation… Only affirmative action could bring a man of such diminutive stature to the threshold of the Oval Office. Our sole consolation is that the campaign season looks to be an entertaining one. This latest tidbit from Israel Insider will probably never escape from the ghettoes of the blogosphere, but you’ve got to admit that the document they feature is more realistic-looking than the Daily Kos birth certificate:

A 2007 Associated Press photograph, suppressed until now, shows the school register of the child who is today known as Barack Hussein Obama but was officially listed then as Barry Soetoro, whose citizenship was listed as “Indonesian” and whose religion was listed as “Islam.” The visual evidence starkly contradicts the Obama campaign’s claim that he was not a muslim and confirms that he is a national of at least one other country.

In addition, it raises the highly problematic issue of what is Obama’s official name. If it turns out to be Barry Soetoro [Bari Sutoro in modern Indonesian], and no official change of name was ever made, Obama may face an array of charges of deception and misprision that may throw into doubt, at the very least, his fitness to run. The evidence of the candidate’s un-American, un-Christian upbringing is nothing new, and has been documented by bloggers as early as 2007 and by Israel Insider in our very first report on this subject in June of this year.

But until now the photograph of his school record has been lacking. Does the candidate protest too much here? Indeed, he is echoing language used in the 1950s by those who denied Communist ties. No one is claiming, here, that Obama is anti-American. But the image of his school registration doesn’t lie, and indicates clearly that he was registered as a muslim, and thus, despite the claim of his spokesman, he didn’t study the catechism.

The author, Joel Vertichio who served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and his brother Gary, who served with the 82nd Airborne and received the Bronze Star, are both veterans of the Vietnam War. And oh by the way, Gary was also at Ground Zero after 9/11, among the first Iron Workers arriving to help search for survivors.

They certainly have a perspective that I nor anyone else who never served there, could ever have about Vietnam. But, serving in Afghanistan and Iraq I have experienced first hand that the realities on the ground there weren't what was being reported back home by the Media, just like in Vietnam.

I experienced the media reporting on information provided by the Taliban in Afghanistan after a mission I participated in taking out a compound of Taliban fighters. Only to talk to my dad the next day and have him tell me that NBC was reporting that 11 innocent villagers with nothing but pitchforks and rakes were killed in an American mission west of Kandahar.

Turns out they were talking about us! Those 'innocent villagers' were militants and were carrying AK-47's and RPG's not pitchforks and rakes. And it wasn't even 11 that were killed it was 6. Afghan Pres. Hamid Karzai expressed public outrage and demanded an investigation, and he got it. Well, after he viewed the video that was taken from a USAF C-130 Gunship covering the mission, he saw the truth and was satisfied, and he said so publicly...end of story.

The media did the same in Iraq in a place called Haditha. This time it was a TIME Magazine reporter receiving lies from an insurgent there. They reported it to Rep. John Murtha (D) who reported it publicly without any verification, and called a group of innocent Marines 'murderers,' and nearly ruined their lives. I was lucky I guess.

OBAMAS AFGHANISTAN VISIT; AN AMERICAN SOLDIERS VIEW!

Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along
that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit
to 'The War Zone'. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to
meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't
say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he
finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent
that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so
he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned
the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home
that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to
make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are
providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas
Cowboy Cheer leaders than from Senator, who wants to be the President of the
United States . I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our
Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those
that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I
wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you
see in the news is all fake.

According to White County, Tennessee Sheriff Oddie Shoupe, a man was leaving a home he'd just burglarized when he encountered the homeowner, Keith Gurtley, on the front porch. The sheriff explained, "This burglar coming out of the house asked Mr. Gurtley, 'Can I help you?', and Mr. Gurtley said, 'Yes, you're in my house, bud."

A Swiss-led panel of 5 nations decided on Thursday that the UN should assert itself as the global leader to fight terrorism. The panel also believes that the US should establish a new agency or program to coordinate that effort. They want it to work like the wonderful the U.N.'s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency. (See North Korea)

The panel held 5 meetings and came up with a set of proposals to lead the world in counter terrorism and seeks to "shift some of the emphasis away from military or police work and onto grappling with interrelated social, economic and health factors." The panel also said the new boondoggle should "disdain torture and preserves prisoners' rights." That sounds just like the Obama approach.

Their carefully worded resolution recommends that terrorism should never be associated with any religion. The UN Action to Counter Terrorism document declares that:

Reaffirming also that terrorism cannot and should not be associated with any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group.

That would be Islamophobic.

I was due to attend Greyfriars Police station today to answer bail regarding my arrest on ‘suspicion of stirring up racial hatred’ through written material on this blog. I was advised by my solicitor/lawyer yesterday that he had spoken to DC Holden regarding my attendance at the police station today and he told him that a decision still had not been made concerning me and my case so they are going to be bailing me for a further few months. So the leash is still around my neck, but it’s more of an extendable leash now, like the one you put your dog on so they can run a little further, rather than a choke chain.

Although I have enjoyed writing my point of view about the Jihad for others to read and hopefully shed some light for those who could not see, blogging does not put food on the table or a roof over your head, and those things are more important to me than writing words for others to read at this point in time. I will be back at some point in the future but not on this blog, this blog is now finished.

As I will not be posting on this blog again and I do mean it this time, there is a facebook group that I have set up that needs some life brought into it so I would ask that those who have contributed here will come and contribute there and bring some life to the group. It’s up to you though.

There is 18 months worth of video’s, writings, facts, opinions and beliefs on the pages of this blog, so there is enough for people to read who arrive here, and if the police have not got enough to charge me yet based on my whole blog then is it not about time they let me go so I can get on with my life?

These extra few months are not going to change anything, its not like I am going to wake up one morning and start telling people to burn out the Islamic Kingdom and hang the British traitors who are against us from London bridge is it? My beliefs and opinions are on each page of this blog and I have never once called for murder or violence against others, so why was I arrested?

I breached ‘community cohesion’, and how dare British citizens breach ‘community cohesion’, those newly formed racial hatred units in the police force need to show some work for their funding after all, so I was viewed as an easy target for the detected crime statistics considering I was open and honest on my blog.

P.S. I have one more thing I am waiting to post which I have been waiting on for about 4 months, so if it does finally arrive as ‘old news’ then I will post it, so keep checking back. Any posts that I do make from now on that I think are important will be posted on Radarsite.

What can you say about a people who welcome a child murderer as a hero?

Most Americans are familiar with the brutal murder of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer on the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1985. Terrorists led by Abu Abbas (who was later given safe haven in Baghdad by Saddam Hussein) took the ship captive and threw Klinghoffer overboard. But few recall that the ship was seized to bargain for the release of, among others, Samir Kuntar from an Israeli prison.

Kuntar had taken part in an earlier terror attack. In 1979, as a 16-year-old, he and four others had traveled to northern Israel by boat from Lebanon and come ashore in the seaside town of Nahariya. At midnight, Smadar Haran recalled, they burst into her apartment building. Peering out to see what the noise was, Smadar, mother of two, slammed shut her apartment door when she saw the terrorists — but too late. Kuntar had glimpsed her. Her husband, Danny, helped Smadar and their younger daughter, 2-year-old Yael, to squeeze into a crawl space above the bedroom.

Smadar wrote later, "I will never forget the joy and the hatred in their voices as they swaggered about hunting for us, firing their guns and throwing grenades." As police began to arrive, Kuntar and the others dragged Danny and 4-year-old Einat down to the beach. With Einat watching, Kuntar shot Danny in the head and then threw his body into the surf.

Kuntar then repeatedly smashed Einat's head against a rock with his rifle butt, killing her, too. Yael did not survive the attack either. In an effort to keep the baby from crying and betraying their hiding place, Smadar had accidentally suffocated her.

This week, Kuntar, dressed in fatigues and sporting a Hitlerian mustache and haircut, walked down a red carpet arrayed for him in Beirut. The government closed all offices and declared a national day of celebration. Tens of thousands of Lebanese cheered, waved flags, threw confetti, and set off fireworks as Hezbollah staged a rally to celebrate their "victory" over Israel.

Mahmoud Abbas, the "moderate" leader of the Palestinian Authority, sent "blessings to Samir Kuntar's family." PA spokesman Ahmad Abdul Rahman sent "warm blessings to Hezbollah … on the return of the heroes of freedom … headed by the great Samir Kuntar."

PARIS (Reuters) - France (yes that France!) has denied citizenship to a veiled Moroccan woman on the grounds that her "radical" practice of islam is incompatible with basic French values such as equality of the sexes, a legal ruling showed on Friday.
The case will reignite debate about how to reconcile freedom of religion, which is guaranteed by the French constitution, and other fundamental rights, which many in France feel are being challenged by the way of life of some muslims.

Le Monde newspaper said it was the first time a muslim applicant had been rejected for reasons to do with personal religious practice.

She’s now a member of a fast-dwindling minority because “people are running away. We’re among the last holdouts of our generation. My kids have fled.”

Pakistani and Bangladeshi groceries lined the main shopping drag, and everywhere stickers boldly beckoned: “Discover Jesus in the Koran.” An unremarkable low-slung building on the corner of Kathy’s block was now dominated by an oversized green sign identifying it as Masjid Nur al-Islam (the Light of Islam Mosque) and announcing that “only Allah is worthy of worship and Muhammad is his LAST prophet.” Here too Christians were urged to “turn to the Koran” if they were “genuinely faithful to Jesus.”

It wasn’t hard to identify the remaining non-Muslim residences. Kathy’s was typical. A huge American flag fluttered demonstratively in the manicured front yard, accompanied by a large cross on the door and an assortment of patriotic/jingoistic banners.

“We’re besieged,” she explained. “Making a statement is about all we can do. They aren’t delighted to see our flag wave. This is enemy territory.”

I recently read "Flags Of Our Fathers" and it got me to thinking about the cost of our Freedom in terms of human life. Whenever I hear some war protester exercising their freedom of speech to use the deaths of our brave men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan to justify their protest against the war I get very angry! How dare they! It is clearly apparent to me that these people have no idea what it has taken over the course of our history to secure that Freedom for them and countless other people around the world.
The next time you meet one of these ingrates, present them with these figures and explain to them that these are friends and family of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents that gave their lives in the cause of Freedom. Kindly ask them if they have ever thought of it this way; That they have the freedom to protest paid for by the blood and lives of people who they didn't even know.

Some Houston residents are upset after korans were left on the doorsteps of hundreds of homes in their neighborhood as part of a campaign to educate people about islam.

Residents of Braes Timbers in southwest Houston began finding the holy books two weeks ago, MyFOXHouston.com reported. The korans came with a note saying they had been left by the Book of Signs Foundation, which claims to have distributed 30,000 free copies of the texts to residents throughout the city.

"If we went into a muslim country and left a Bible, we would be in prison and then decapitated a few years later," Sue Ann Pieri, a resident who chose not to destroy the book, as other neighbors did, told MyFOXHouston.com.

The foundation, which left the books on doormats or hanging from doorknobs, said in a note accompanying the koran that "rather than judging islam and muslims by the actions of a few, we want our fellow citizens to judge us by the book that influences and guides the lives of over 1 billion muslims."

Tarick Hussein, the president of Houston's Council on American-Islamic Relations, told the station he believes the Book of Signs Foundation wants to educate non-Muslims about the religion.

He told MyFOXHouston.com: "This is a very peaceful way of conveying a message."

If Christians went into a mostly muslim neighborhood, they'd be accused of committing 'hate crimes' and persecuting followers of the religion of peace and tolerance. Tayside Police’s new non-emergency phone number has prompted complaints from members of the islamic community. The choice of image on the Tayside Police cards - a black dog sitting in a police officer’s hat - has now been raised with Chief Constable John Vine.

The advertisement has upset muslims because dogs are considered ritually unclean and has sparked such anger that some shopkeepers in Dundee have refused to display the advert.
Dundee councillor Mohammed Asif said: ‘My concern was that it’s not welcomed by all communities, with the dog on the cards.

‘It was probably a waste of resources going to these communities. ‘They (the police) should have understood. Since then, the police have explained that it was an oversight on their part, and that if they’d seen it was going to cause upset they wouldn’t have done it.’

Councillor Asif, who is a member of the Tayside Joint Police Board, said that the force had a diversity adviser and was generally very aware of such issues.

*We've known that dogs, pigs, and women, are considered dirty to the hadjis. So, pictures of dogs are now considered dirty as well, therefore offensive?! The Supreme Court has affirmed the Heller case, which overturns the DC gun ban.

Heller (07-290), on whether the District’s firearms regulations – which bar the possession of handguns and require shotguns and rifles to be kept disassembled or under trigger lock – violate the Second Amendment. The ruling below, which struck down the provisions in question, is affirmed.

Justice Scalia wrote the opinion. Justice Breyer dissented, joined by Justices Stevens, Souter and Ginsburg. We will provide a link to the decision as soon as it is available.

The first line of Scalia's opinion says it all:
The 2nd Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with the service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes such as self defense within the home.

It was 5-4 again, but this time Kennedy came down on the correct side. It's scary to think we were only one liberal vote away from losing individual gun ownership rights.

FEMA Winning Praise In Midwest Floods

Less than three years after the debacle in New Orleans (due more to local incompetence than FEMA, though they got the blame), FEMA is winning praise from both sides of the aisle for their response to the midwest floods:

Nearly three years after FEMA was heavily criticized for its handling of Hurricane Katrina, many homeowners and politicians in the flood-stricken Midwest today say that the agency is doing a great job. In Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin, FEMA has received about 45,000 registrations for assistance, and has already doled out $81 million in emergency housing funds.

Iowa's Democratic Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge says FEMA had "people on site almost immediately after the flooding began."And even some Democrats who rarely miss a chance to criticize the Bush Administration admit FEMA's response has been effective. Missouri Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill says, "I think they've made a world of improvement both in terms of their preparedness and in terms of their attitude."

*Isn't it amazing how much better FEMA performs when there is competent local and state government. Both of which were absent in New Orleans and the State of Louisiana.

Meanwhile, a few questions:

1. Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for help in restoring Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

2. Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the federal government hasn't solved the problem?

How long did it take Islam and their oil money to find a candidate for President of the United States? As long as it took them to place a Senator from Illinois and Minnesota? Charges Dismissed Against Haditha Marine Lt. Col. Jeff Chessani

A military judge has dismissed charges against a Marine officer accused of failing to investigate the killings of 24 Iraqis. Col. Steven Folsom dismissed charges Tuesday against Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani after defense attorneys raised concerns that a four-star general overseeing the prosecution was improperly influenced by an investigator probing the November 2005 shootings by a Marine squad in Haditha.

The charges were dismissed without prejudice, meaning they can be refiled, but Folsom excluded Marine Forces Central Command from future involvement. Chessani was the highest-ranking officer implicated in the case.

"The Dollar Can Expect Two Additional Blows That Will Break Its Back"

The mujahideen's growing interest in undermining U.S. economy is reflected, for example, in an article in the 26th issue of the GIMF's e-magazine Sada Al-Jihad (Echo of Jihad), recently posted on Al-Hesbah and on other Islamist websites.(2) The article, titled "Why the Dollar Collapsed and How America Controls the Price of Oil," discusses the factors that contributed to the devaluation of the dollar in recent years.

The author lists among the key factors the economic damage caused by Hurricane Katrina; the losses caused by the September 11 attacks; the cost of the war on terror and of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; the U.S.'s persistent trade deficit and growing government debt; investors' growing faith in the Euro; the recent subprime crisis in the U.S.; and the fact that financial institutions around the world have started to reduce their dollar reserves, thereby flooding the market with dollars and decreasing the demand for this currency.

The author ends his analysis with the following threat: "The dollar can expect two additional blows that will break its back... [namely] the announcement of the return of the Caliphate..." and the reinstatement of the gold standard in international monetary trade.

A recent posting on the Al-Ikhlas forum urges the mujahideen and their supporters to sell their dollars, if they have any, because Al-Qaeda is planning a strike inside the U.S. so that it will undermine the American economy: "[I advise you] to get rid of [your] American dollars... and buy gold instead... or real estate. The next attack inside the U.S. is imminent... Zawahiri will convey his instructions [regarding this attack] in his next [message]... This attack will put an end to the so-called United States of America and destroy its economy completely... The day of the attack is very near..."(3)

Given that it is highly atypical for Al-Qaeda to give prior warning of its attacks, the message is probably an attempt to pressure Muslims to sell dollars, in order to generate pessimism in the dollar market and thus accelerate the drop in its value.

A federal jury on Friday convicted three Toledo-area men of Middle Eastern descent of plotting attacks against U.S. troops overseas and other terror-related acts.
Mohammad Amawi, Marwan El-Hindi, and Wassim Mazloum, all of whom are Muslim, were convicted on all counts of conspiring to kill or injure people outside the United States and face sentences of life in prison.

Prosecutors said the men were learning to shoot guns and make explosives while raising money to fund their plans to wage a holy war against U.S. troops.
“Today’s verdicts should send a strong message to individuals who would use this country as a platform to plot attacks against U.S. military personnel in Iraq and elsewhere,” said Patrick Rowan, acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security, in a written statement.
“This case also underscores the need for continued vigilance in identifying and dismantling extremist plots that develop in America’s heartland.”

…Amawi and El-Hindi are U.S. citizens, and Mazloum came to the U.S. legally from Lebanon. El-Hindi was born in Jordan, and Amawi was born in the U.S. but also has Jordanian citizenship.
They had blended easily into the city’s thriving Muslim community.
Mazloum was a college student who helped his brother run a used car lot. Amawi once worked at a bakery. And El-Hindi was a married father of seven.

Two Georgia men, Syed Haris Ahmed (no hat) and Ehsanul Sadequee (fat face with hat) of Atlanta, were arrested on April 20th 2006 after visiting Toronto in March 2005 to meet three "Islamic extremists of the Toronto 18", their plot (Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee) was to blow up the CDC in Atlanta GA that stores smallpox.

The men (Syad Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee) discussed on the phone with the Toronto 18 ringleader (FBI Patriot Act comes into play here, thank God) terror strikes in the United States, including attacks on oil refineries and military bases, and planned to disable the Global Positioning System (GPS), which would disrupt military and commercial communications and air traffic.

During the intercept (phone call), the alleged ringleader in Toronto suggests he is one of the three men referred to as a terrorist and says the Americans stayed with him for two weeks. He said Sadequee had attended high school in Ajax and that he was "very, very tight" with him. The Toronto ringleader was arrested weeks later during a police sweep that netted 14 adults and four youths.

Charges have since been stayed against four adults and three youths. Police say the members had been plotting truck bombs for GTA sites in Toronto. Contrary to the report, they (Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee), never discussed attacking oil refineries, but did take credit for coming up with the GPS idea. The Toronto ringleader went on to reveal that the Americans, Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee, were planning to attack the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention in Atlanta, adding, "That's pure airborne, man."anthrax and smallpox etc.

Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Sadequee in Atlanta GA were Georgia Tech (GT) Students, GT has numerous programs with the CDC along with numerous programs where GT students can work on research programs at the CDC, can you say inside job? Smallpox is the only infectious disease in human history to be eradicated. In the past few weeks, however, some in the medical and defense communities have expressed concern that clandestine stocks of weaponized variola virus could be used by terrorists or rogue states against civilians. Two official repositories of the smallpox virus have been authorized by the World Health Organization at the CDC in Atlanta and the Vector laboratory in Russia.

Vaccinating the American public against smallpox is no longer just a public health issue. In light of recent statements attributed to al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, it has become a national security matter. Mounting concerns about new terrorist attacks, including biological attacks on American civilians, have intensified the debate among policymakers and public health officials over how best to prepare for a smallpox attack, either with preemptive or post-attack vaccinations.

Even a 'localized attack' (Atlanta CDC) on non-immunized Americans could result in the deaths of a million or more people nationally. We are ill-prepared to deal with a terrorist attack that employs biological weapons. In countering civilian terrorism, the focus has been almost wholly on chemical and explosive weapons. A chemical release or a major explosion is far more manageable than the biological challenges posed by the additional use of smallpox or anthrax.

After an explosion or a chemical attack, the worst effects are quickly over, the dimensions of the catastrophe can be defined, the toll of injuries and deaths can be ascertained, and efforts can be directed to stabilization and recovery. Not so following the additional use of smallpox or anthrax in an explosion. Day after relentless day, additional cases could be expected, and in new areas.

This plot is so workable, so simple, so devious, these goons in Atlanta were Georgia Tech students, they could get info on what side of the CDC building the smallpox is stored, get a Ryder Rental truck, load it with fertilizer and diesel fuel and a detonator, drive up to the CDC building, ram it into the side and blow it up, smallpox is passed into the air, any injured or first responders would be infected, hospital personnel caring for the injured etc. etc., 1 million are dead and Atlanta and the South East is devastated, these bastards.

This is the whacked out muslim terrorist thinking and planning of the al-Muhajiroun group, mass causalties at any cost, can you imagine the wide spread panic in Atlanta after it was made known that smallpox was airborne after a truck bomb attack on the CDC !

The recent re-publication of a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad by the Danish press and release of Dutch MP Geert Wilders' film "Fitna" have precipitated a wave of Muslim protest, some of it violent, throughout the world. Following these developments, several Arab columnists wrote to condemn the violent reactions, arguing that the Muslims themselves had committed iniquity against both their coreligionists and everyone else, thereby harming the name of Islam.

The following are excerpts from some of the articles:

Islam's Biggest Enemy is the Muslims Themselves

In an article in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa, titled "Muslims Against Islam," Kuwaiti liberal Dr. Ahmad Al-Baghdadi wrote: "In most countries around the world, Muslims broke into Danish Embassies, setting fire to them, and called for a ban on Danish imports... They have also launched a satellite TV channel and organized various committees and institutions, with the sole purpose of defending the Prophet [Muhammad] and the Islamic religion... Have the Muslims ever taken account of the tremendous iniquities they themselves have committed and are still committing against Islam [within and outside] the Islamic countries?

"Let us examine the following problems, which I will briefly outline below:

"How many prisoners are locked up in Muslim prisons for their opinions, ideas, and cultural identity? Is it in the spirit of Islam that Muslims are fleeing their homeland for 'heretical' countries in order to attain security and live in dignity?... Is it in the spirit of Islam to be silent in the face of the tyranny of rulers? Is it in the spirit of Islam that one family should rule over an entire people? Is it in the spirit of Islam that some Muslim countries abound in magnificent palaces while 60% of their population is illiterate? Is it in the spirit of Islam to turn a blind eye to a billionaire's several profligate satellite channels, whose programs make a mockery of religion and morality, only because [this billionaire] has [also] launched a religious channel?... The truth is that the biggest enemy of Islam is the Muslims themselves, because they have relinquished all decency in dealing with others, as well as the courage to oppose oppression..."(1)

Who Is Harming The Prophet?

In an article on the liberal website Aafaq.org, Egyptian writer Ahmad Al-Aswani set out the crimes committed by the Muslim world that he believed have harmed the Prophet Muhammad and discredited the spirit of Islam: "I do not think that cartoons, books, or films can harm a religion or affect the faith of those who adhere to it out of conviction.

"The ones who harm the Prophet are those who butcher and bomb innocents all over the world, from New York to Madrid, London, Bali, Riyadh and Cairo, Kabul and Baghdad - while invoking Allah and the Prophet under the banner of Islamic jihad...

"Among those who harm the Prophet are the likes of Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, who incites to the murder of Jewish children in their mothers' wombs (e.g. in a 1996 lecture to the Egyptian journalists association) and to suicide operations, as well as those who cause the death of innocent victims by declaring jihad in Iraq in the name of religion and the Prophet.

"The ones who harm the Prophet are those who call on the world to pass a resolution against disparaging religion, while they themselves denigrate other religions in each prayer in the mosques, as well as in their schools and on their satellite channels - and especially [the religion] of Christians and Jews, whom they curse in every prayer. When Muslim countries submitted a draft of this resolution to the U.N. Human Rights Council, the Saudi Shura Council raised objections, since reviling other religions is one of Islam's central precepts.

"The ones who harm the Prophet are the likes of those who issued the fatwa sanctioning the breastfeeding of adults, and asserting that [the drinking of] the Prophet's urine is a source of blessing – or those who allow such fairy tales to be studied in religious schools and colleges... The ones who harm the Prophet are those who teach children in schools, particularly so-called Islamic [schools], to hate Christians on the grounds that it is forbidden to love them...

"The ones who harm the Prophet are those who believe that external attributes such as a beard, a spot on the forehead [attesting to deep genuflections during prayer], a veil, or a cloak are prescribed by Islam, and also those who accuse others of heresy and kill [them] on account [of these external attributes].

"The ones who harm the Prophet are those who believe that woman is [lewd], and that she detracts from [the purity] of prayer just like a dog or a donkey...(2) and those who believe that a woman lacks intelligence and religion, forgetting that [they are talking about] a mother, sister, beloved, daughter, or wife, who is equal to man in every respect.

"The ones who harm the Prophet are people like [Egyptian geologist and Ph.D] Zaghlul Al-Najjar, who claims to have knowledge yet at the same time regards natural disasters such as storms, volcanic eruptions, and floods as divine punishments [for] sinners, and who disparages the New and Old Testaments, believing them to be fabrications - and all this in the name of Islam and the Prophet...

"The ones who harm the Prophet are the rulers of Arab states who have made their countries the last bastions of tyranny and dictatorship in the world, and who demand submission to religious texts to justify their crimes.

"The ones who harm the Prophet do not live in the West - they are among us, the Muslims. [It is the Muslims] who have fashioned an Islamic model that is [inherently] terrorist, hypocritical, life-negating, and sustained by the murder of others in the name of jihad and by attacks on freedom of opinion under the pretext of [defending Islamic] national principles - which are actually nothing but retardation and fossilized prejudice... This is what we – and no one else - have produced."(3)

Murderous Acts Have Destroyed the Image of Islam

Similar claims were made by Bahraini columnist Abdallah Al-Ayoubi in an article in the Bahraini daily Akhbar Al-Khaleej: "...The harm to the Muslim religion has not been caused only by the publication, in Danish papers, of cartoons disparaging the Prophet Muhammad or by the film... produced by the Dutch MP. There are many [other], graver, dangers that Muslim religion is exposed to. They come from those who use religion as a cover for their criminal conduct, which they attribute to the teachings of the Islamic faith...

"Humane and noble [religious] precepts have been destroyed by extremist 'Islamic' movements such as Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and others, that perpetrate hideous crimes against innocent [people] in their own countries as well as in other, non-Muslim, countries... When base, despicable acts are carried out by [Muslim] societies and nations, they cause tremendous harm to [Islamic] religious teachings.

"This is what happened, for example, as a result of the September 11th crimes against the U.S., and as a result of the attacks in London and Madrid that followed in their wake.

"The Muslim nations must first and foremost purge themselves of [elements] that use Islam and its teachings as a disguise [i.e.] in order to present their crimes against humanity as jihad in the name of Allah... It is inconceivable that the teachings [of Islam] should justify the murder of dozens, [even] thousands, of innocent people. It is such iniquities that have corrupted the image of Islam in the eyes of non-Muslims...

"[Muslim] nations must adopt the language of reason... in order to deal with the attacks on [Islam], and to wage war against 'Islamic' extremism, which has distorted Muslim religious teachings...

"Those who harm the Muslim religion must be confronted, using sound logic rather than emotion; up until now, responses to attacks [on Islam] have been based not rationality but on pathos. The exaggerated reactions to the Danish press's publication of the offensive cartoons were manifested in setting fire to Danish diplomatic representations - although the Danish government bears no responsibility for these cartoons.

"Such [responses] will not only fail to prevent harm to [Islam], but will actually magnify it..."(4)

The media have been telling us to watch the gun-control case now before the U.S. Supreme Court, where we await a decision about Americans' Second Amendment rights. But the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just handed down an equally important gun decision that has additional implications against judicial supremacy.

The court, which convenes in New York City, shot down the longtime liberal dream of achieving gun control by suing gun manufacturers for crimes committed by firearms. In a remarkable decision, this federal appellate court dismissed City of New York v. Beretta U.S.A. Corp. and protected gun corporations against frivolous lawsuits in state and federal courts.

By the time Charles Gooden Jr., 41, took his final steps, the crime-hardened neighborhood had awakened and two people, talking in matter-of-fact tones, reported a man down, his clothes being dragged off. "You got a male being assaulted by 15 other guys. He's laying on the street," one 911 caller said.

It happened before dawn on April 27 on a street within a 10-minute drive of the city's skyscrapers, sports venues and tourist attractions, but across a chasm of poverty and crime in the most murder-ridden neighborhood in one of America's poorest cities.

Latangia Anderson, 23, Johnny Brown, 20, and Paris Moore, 19, all of Cleveland, have been charged with aggravated murder and each pleaded not guilty Monday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Bond was set at $1 million for each.The defendants said they were unable to afford an attorney and had lawyers appointed to represent them.

The attorneys said they couldn't comment on the case. Police expect more arrests.

FEMA's National Level Exercise 2-08

-Here's another tasty little morsel for the conspiracy nuts out there to freak out about.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Exercise Program (NEP) conducted National Level Exercise 2-08 (NLE 2-08) a combined functional and full scale exercise from May 1 through May 8. NLE 2-08's goal is to merge the objectives of U.S. Northern Command's (NORTHCOM) Ardent Sentry 2008 exercise, FEMA National Continuity Program's (NCP) Eagle Horizon 2008 exercise (formerly known as Forward Challenge), and FEMA Disaster Operation's Hurricane Preparedness Exercise (HPE).

The purpose of NLE 2-08 is to exercise national capabilities to prepare and respond to multiple incidents including both natural disasters and terrorist incidents. The exercise was designed to include scenario elements addressing hurricane preparedness and response, national continuity capabilities, and Defense Support to Civil Authorities coordination in response to weapons of mass destruction terrorist attacks. The exercise venues involve a Category 4 hurricane impacting the Mid Atlantic Coast and the National Capitol Region and multiple terrorist attacks in Washington State.

Also during NLE 2-08, the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program (CSEPP) tested it's response to an accidental chemical agent release at the Umatilla Chemical Depot in Oregon. And here's the kicker! Canada also participated through their Staunch Maple Exercise. (Aaaah!! NAU NAU!!)

The exercise allows Federal officials to implement continuity plans, test communications connectivity, operations and procedures for performing essential government functions from alternate locations, and interagency coordination. Additionally, it serves to demonstrate that essential functions can be effectively conducted during threats and emergencies.

NLE 2-08 is a NEP exercise conducted within the five year exercise schedule. The NEP is the nation's overarching homeland security exercise program, provides the federal government with a national, interagency wide program and a multi-year planning system to focus, coordinate, plan, conduct, execute, evaluate and prioritize national security and homeland security preparedness-related exercise activities.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.

The urban legend/Internet myth spreading the wild story that 'secret concentration camps' created by FEMA and manned by personnel from the military or DHS exist within the borders of the United States to house ‘detainees’ or displaced personnel from natural or man-made disasters or if the government wants to detain you and make the USA a police state is just that: A myth and a very popular urban legend.

While on the topic of 'concentration camps' in the US run by FEMA, it would be remiss to not mention all the rest of the alleged plans and plots to take over the nation. Readiness Exercise 1984 which included some favorites like Operation Garden Plot and Operation Cable Splicer. These programs allegedly called for the shutdown of military bases to be used as detainment centers for displaced person, namely US citizens.

First, lets look at that concept. To shut down a military base. Where do you send the dependants? Where do you send the core support units? Where do you house all these displaced people? Over the last 10-15 years we have seen military base closures nationwide and worldwide through a program known as BRAC or Base Realignment and Closure and we have also seen how long it takes to close them down, reassign personnel and disband units.

*Anyone who has been in the military and/or understands logistics on a massive scale should understand this very well. I myself worked at Naval Station Pascagoula in Mississippi in 2005-2006 with a defense contractor, and that base was put on the BRAC and shut down. I and co-workers had to assist in this process, because we were intelligence and had to break down our SCIF. This is a long freakin' process, although Hurricane Katrina aided alot in some of the tearing down process, it was a nightmare.

Now supposedly, we are to accept the fact that within hours or days, a large enough installation is to be closed down and virtually overnight, be turned into a detainment center? The logistics alone are enough to give anyone an ulcer and migraine and are far beyond any agencies capabilities much less anything FEMA is capable of.

We are to believe FEMA, an agency which as we all saw had alot of problems during Katrina and other assorted disasters is supposed to be able to empty one or more military installations and get it ready for detainees? With all the problems FEMA has had with bad leadership and now being under Homeland Security’s umbrella, it seems extremely unlikely that they or any other agency could conduct this task efficiently or within any kind of time restraint let alone within our lifetime.

FEMA’s budget is PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE! and therefore open to scrutiny. How could they hide the expense and cost of manning these alleged centers within that publicly disclosed document? This is the agency where five of the top eight agency officials came into their posts with virtually no experience in handling disasters and yet, the Internet myth and paranoia expects these people to have control over ‘relocation camps’?

Or REX 84 as it is called, is just a scenario that was looked at, just like USAMARIID’s Bio-War ’04. Just because they played the scenario doesn’t mean they will actually do it. That’s like saying because the military played wargames about a possible war in Europe with the Soviet Union as the aggressor, doesn't mean that war actually happened. (It didn't by the way)

Lets put that into a different perspective. Emergency services train their people with scenarios about accidents and disasters, does that mean that particular accident or disaster will happen? The concept is training, NOT, 'lets hope that scenario comes true, because I really want to detain my neighbor because he’s such an asshole'. Are we to believe that somewhere deep inside the Pentagon or some government sponsored think tank that scenarios aren’t thought up?

When I was working at the Naval Station in Pascagoula, just before Katrina hit us, we conducted a terrorist attack exercise involving a 'suitcase nuke'. This exercise was conducted jointly between the US Navy, Coast Guard, Miss. State Hwy. Patrol, and the Sheriffs Dept. FEMA was not involved and the nuke attack obviously didn't actually happen. But, it was a worthwhile training exercise, the kind that must be done by the military, police and yes the Federal Govt.

This is some misguided person’s paranoia going full out and a misinterpretation of the scenario. Most likely they came across this information in pieces and not as a whole document. Taken as it is, it can be scary for the uninformed. Reading it as the entire document, it relates to military assistance without violating the federal law of Posse Comitatus. By now some of you will be saying ‘What about FEMA relocating people during Katrina?’ Yes they did, under the pretense of removing them to a safer area.

But FEMA is NOT part of the Department of Defense and not a military unit. Originally, the idea of relocating the citizens of New Orleans was to remove them from the 'chemical soup' that was now flowing in the city caused by the flooding, household chemicals, sewer overflow, fuel, oil, breeched levees, and floating bloated bodies, animal and human. And keep in mind New Orleans was a filthy dirty city long before Katrina struck.

Who wouldn’t want to be removed from all that potential source of disease and infection?I’m not saying how FEMA did it was totally correct, but given the warning timeframe the population had, more of them should have left the area prior to Katrina than really did. Anyone with approx. 72 hours of warning could have easily been in another state even if they had to use their child’s toy wagon to pull their supplies or at the least been to high ground.

But, I’m not making excuses for how the emergency was handled especially on the local level, I’m trying to point out that the idea of FEMA building and controlling detention centers, concentration camps, displaced persons centers, whatever you want to call them, is totally ludicrous and not within the realm of possibility unless FEMA becomes part of the Justice Department and even then where did, or will the funding come from for these ‘secret’ detainment facilities.

-Did you know?

Public Law 87-297 calls for complete disarmament so the UN can "maintain internal peace".
-51 million American acres are now UN designated!

-Military capacity of US is 65% and UN is 800% of our 1991 levels.

-The UN Children's Rights takes responsibility away from parents and gives it to the state.

-No mention of God in the UN Charter.

-AIDS was UN-induced for population control (House Bill 15090.) HB 666 crushes our 4th Amendment Rights. (Black people would be shocked to hear that it wasn't the CIA lol!)

-UN command of US troops (PDD 25).
(you've got be kidding me)

The web sites supporting this nonsense need to be looked at very closely. Most of the groups or individuals responsible for them have taken the reports, scenarios and information out of context and then added their own fevered paranoia to them before force-feeding them to the gullible public or rather, THE SHEEPLE! Some of these sites actually have ‘authentic’ video footage of these proposed prisons. Imagine a video of a warehouse with razor wire and renovation going on.

Most of these videos are grainy and poorly shot, they could be almost anywhere the narrator tells you they are. I don’t know about some people but in places where I've worked, we've had unmarked warehouses, outbuildings without windows off by themselves, and the entire site would be surrounded by eight to twelve foot chain link security fencing and razor wire on top.

-Was I actually working in a FEMA concentration camp all along and didn't know it?

Realistically, the appearance of chain link fencing topped with razor wire is not something odd. Most of the businesses in the area look the same and some even have guard shacks by the entrance. If you were to apply the lack of cognizant thought perpetrated on these paranoid sites, then all the businesses in this area are really secret government detention centers.

The best part is the photos on some sites showing the guard towers and fenced perimeters. Look close and you can see the aiming stakes in the field. That means that this area is actually some kind of firing range for rifles or other long guns. What is conveniently left out are the signs warning that it is a small arms range area. The towers are for the range safety officers and/or observers. Such as the picture below.

What is really amusing is that some of these sites can produce documents detailing the use of civilian prisoner labor. That’s not a new topic. Back in the early days of WWII, several prisons sent their work crews to build new or improve existing military installations. That answers the US Army civilian inmate labor program. That program is still in existence today but is not used as much as it was back in the early 1940s.

Concentration Camps run by FEMA in the locations reputed on websites are false. There is nothing there. The best site discussing these locations mentioned that armed guards were present. Ever wonder about that? The location that one such author allegedly visited was a water treatment plant.

Since 9/11 Homeland Security has made it a point to secure such sites with armed contract personnel to prevent terrorist incidents. Some measures called for the removal of trees close to fencing to prevent someone using it for cover or a point of egress.

-I discovered about a year ago on a moonbat website saying there was a FEMA 'concentration camp' located in Purvis, MS. I was suspicious because I had been up to Purvis for work. After a short period of time, I went back to the website and saw they had a picture posted of the 'camp'. The picture above is of the FEMA trailer staging ground in Purvis, MS. It's very similar to the picture that was posted on the site.

I've been there and seen it for myself. Those trailers are there in preparation for future storms, hurricanes and tornados primarily. They have to be there in order to respond to another hurricane on the coast, or a catastrophic tornado in MS to get people in shelter as soon as possible, but far enough away to be out of the disaster zone.

-Yea looks like pure hell doesn't it? Free living courtesy of the US taxpayer.

Or how about the ‘super secret’ government installation located in the Brook’s Range way up in Alaska? There’s nothing there. Before Christmas of last year the only new construction in the area was more gravel on the roads. The only constant rumor is some sort of hunting/fishing resort to be built in that area and that’s a rumor that’s been around for many years .

That rumor coincides with the alleged ‘huge’ mental facility located in Fairbanks, Alaska area that can hold up to 2 million government ‘dissidents.’ Where did the funding for this facility come from as it's supposed to manned by military personnel? From what branches of service, and do they all sign some secrecy paperwork to never talk about it?

Get real, this is the present day and cellphones, the Internet and other means of communication exist. Anyone can actually buy satellite photos now off the web (like the one below), how secret is this mythical mental hospital when you can order high-resolution satellite imagery of the legendary Area 51?

Then there is the ‘secret train car code’ that designates prison rail cars to be used for relocating civilians...GARBAGE. This is so much hysteria and paranoia its actually funny. This alleged rail car code has nothing to do with prisoner transport. These 'secret' numbers are used just like the numerical coding found on semi-trailers, those numbers identify the cargo and in the case of rail cars, identify the carrier, the carriers number code for type of rail car, and the type of cargo.

That leads to the intermodal number system, which is used to identify cars containing pressurized and non-pressurized cargo. An example could be something like a DOT or AAR prefix followed by a set of numbers, DOT120, DOT160, AAR150, etc. This is NOT some secret code for prison transport cars.

Ladies and gentlemen, take these claims that secret prisons, mysterious rail cars, and FEMA 'concentration camps' exist as nothing but paranoid ramblings of misinformed individuals who are feeding off each other’s paranoia of the government. Did anyone forget we are discussing FEMA here, the agency whose director had to be replaced not once but twice in less than 5 years? The agency with directors not originally qualified for the position?

It's basically up to you to search for the sites containing the paranoid ‘truth’ about concentration camps in the US. After reading most, you will find that they all say pretty much the same thing and contain almost the exact same videos and photos.

War With Iran Might Be Closer Than You Think

There is considerable speculation and buzz in Washington today suggesting that the National Security Council has agreed in principle to proceed with plans to attack an Iranian al-Qods-run camp that is believed to be training Iraqi militants.

The camp that will be targeted is one of several located near Tehran. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates was the only senior official urging delay in taking any offensive action.

The decision to go ahead with plans to attack Iran is the direct result of concerns being expressed over the deteriorating situation in Lebanon, where Iranian ally Hezbollah appears to have gained the upper hand against government forces and might be able to dominate the fractious political situation.

The White House contacted the Iranian government directly yesterday through a channel provided by the leadership of the Kurdish region in Iraq, which has traditionally had close ties to Tehran. The US demanded that Iran admit that it has been interfering in Iraq and also commit itself to taking steps to end the support of various militant groups.

There was also a warning about interfering in Lebanon. The Iranian government reportedly responded quickly, restating its position that it would not discuss the matter until the US ceases its own meddling employing Iranian dissident groups. The perceived Iranian intransigence coupled with the Lebanese situation convinced the White House that some sort of unambiguous signal has to be sent to the Iranian leadership, presumably in the form of cruise missiles.

It is to be presumed that the attack will be as “pinpoint” and limited as possible, intended to target only al-Qods and avoid civilian casualties. We have been doing this to many of its infrastructure, its financial system, but not directly to a military target. The decision to proceed with plans for an attack is not final. The President will still have to give the order to launch after all preparations are made. The only thing that could prolong this is that fact that Iran needs high tech that not even Russia or China can provide, but we have it.

For those of you who still hope for an Iranian revolt, we have tried to that too, but more Iranians are believing in Mahmoud's prophecy that he will bring the Mahdi.

Almost a week after the U.S. Department of State branded the ayatollahs’ regime in Iran as the “most active state sponsor of terrorism,” there are reports from Baghdad that the Hezbollah of Lebanon has been training Iraqi terrorists at camps near Tehran. Tehran’s Terror Inc. certainly knows a thing or two about the art of outsourcing. YES, TEHRAN....and people should not be surprised at all.

According to the New York Times, “the account of Hezbollah’s role was provided by four Shiite militia members who were captured in Iraq late last year” after they had returned from training in Iran., In a training program described, according to the Times, by the American officials as “training the trainers,” the captured terrorists were part of a “class of 16 militants who crossed into Iran from southern Iraq and were taken to a camp near Tehran.”

So if you think Iran is not involved in Iraq, please connect two neurons together and try and connect some dots. They do provide Bin Laden's son a safe house after all. A little coincidental? NOT

Hamas has threatened an "unprecedented escalation" against Israel if it does not agree soon to the Egyptian-mediated cease-fire offer, the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat reported Sunday.
Hamas spokesman Ayman Taha told the paper that Egyptian Intelligence chief Omar Suleiman was expected to arrive in Israel on Monday to convey Hamas's offer, which was agreed upon by twelve Palestinian factions last week.

Another spokesman for the group, Sami Abu Zuhri, said the organization was waiting to receive an official response through Egypt in the coming days. He said Hamas was ready to deal with one of two possibilities: Pacification or escalation.

"All options are open. The ball is in the Israeli court," Abu Zuhri said, adding that if Israel continues its procrastination, aggression and blockade of Gaza, "it may lead to unprecedented escalation."...

Chalk One Up for Freedom

Earlier this week, New York State Governor David Paterson signed a bill into law that is sure to help derail “libel tourists” in their attempts to take New York authors and publishers for a ride to the book-pulping machine via expensive, speech-chilling foreign libel suits.

The bill, the Libel Terrorism Protection Act (a.k.a. Rachel’s Law), prohibits the enforcement of a foreign libel judgment unless a New York court determines that it satisfies the free speech and free press protections guaranteed by the First Amendment and the New York State Constitution. It also allows New York courts, under certain circumstances, to exercise jurisdiction over non-residents who obtain foreign libel judgments against New Yorkers.

This is fantastic news for liberty enthusiasts. But it didn’t come out of thin air. This victory for free speech is due to the tenacious courage of author Rachel Ehrenfeld, the New Yorker who for nearly four years has battled to have a British default libel judgment against her–brought against her book 'Funding Evil' by Saudi billionaire and “libel tourist” Khalid bin Mahfouz –declared unenforceable in the U.S.

It is her ongoing case, which might well be described Abu-Dickensian in length and nefariousness, that inspired the bi-partisan bill that passed the New York State Legislature unanimously last month and was signed into law this week. New York’s lawmakers and new governor are to be greatly commended for recognizing the need to act to protect our liberty.

I asked Rachel to comment on the significance of this encouraging development. She wrote:
“`Rachel’s Law,’ as NY Assemblyman Rory Lancman stated, `give[s] New York’s journalists, authors and press the protection and tools they need to continue to fearlessly expose the truth about terrorism and its enablers, and to maintain New York’s place as the free speech capitol of the world.’

This law should be followed by national legislation to protect all American writers’ free speech. Indeed, US Rep. Peter King submitted such law to Congress.”
That would be the Freedom of Speech Protection Act (H.R. 5814), which Rep. King (R-NY) introduced in the House of Representatives on April 16, and which should be passed on the double.

Rachel continued;
“Personally, it marks an important step in my efforts to stop Saudi billionaires like Khalid bin Mahfouz from attempting to silence me and all U.S. writers who expose him and Saudi Arabia’s terrorist funding of global radical Muslim organizations, including al Qaeda and Hamas. Thus, I have to go back to court to win the case against Mahfouz and test the effectiveness of this law.”
That’s right: Rachel’s not finished yet. She’s still determined to prove her point–our point–that Americans won’t be silenced in their pursuit of the truth by legal jihad.

As an afterthought, she added: “Amazing how the media at large ignores this new and important development for their free speech rights.” It’s not only amazing, it’s jaw-drop shocking. One completely appalling way to read the striking apathy is as a tacit concession to the speech curbs the Khalid bin Mahfouz’s of the world would like to impose on brave souls like Rachel–i.e., a tacit concession to dhimmitude.
